Pros

Salary was good, not top of the line for my profession, but squarely in the middle. Bonuses were great! Good number of PDOs (although a pain to get them approved). Computer software system was generally efficient.

Cons

Poor district and regional management. Micromanaging and unrealistic expectations. If you work at a busy store, you’ll have no work life balance. My last few months I was coming in early and staying late almost every day. The company refused to pay competitive wages for technicians, so it was hard to attract anybody to work here, especially full time. Because staffing was an issue, it was hard to keep up with their already unrealistic metrics, on top of all the Covid shots we had to immunize. The company also has poor supply logistics. Pharmacists should not have to spend their days off (unpaid of course) going to other stores to “trade” vaccines. The icing on the cake: the year I worked harder than any other, the year I was most understaffed, the year I gave more vaccines than any other and had to interact with potential Covid+ patients, was the only year in my close to 15 year history I didn’t get a raise. Guess I wasn’t the “HT Hero” the company said us essential workers were. Keep in mind that same year the company made record breaking profits on vaccines (the government provided them for free, and our company charged insurances roughly 40 dollars per shot). The company almost always sides with abusive and lying customers versus staff. They reward bad behavior with gift cards and discounts. I quit with no job lined up because my burnout was getting to maximum levels and I figured it was either me or my job. Since leaving and finding new employment I have been SO much happier, even with a decent sized pay cut. I would never go back to this company nor recommend any other pharmacist apply.

Pros

If its your first job its a good place to start, but if you're looking to make any actual money look elsewhere.

Cons

You are only given a 15 minute break if you work more than 4 hours and only given a lunch in you work more than 6. So if you work 6 hours, enjoy your 15 minute break. When at a register you are also put on an island essentially. No going to the bathroom, no getting water, no doing basic human necessities.

Pros

Your coworkers are your second family. Dental and Vision insurance is good. Requesting time off isn’t a problem as long as you can still work your min 36 hours. PTO and vacation time that you can cash in is great.

Cons

Pay isn’t competitive with other companies. Opportunity to advance in the company is difficult in wide spread districts. Medical honestly is awful. No overtime. The reason I left though was because it’s all about the labor; limited labor hours and as full time you’re expected to stretch yourself thin. Oh let me warn you as an external hire you get paid more than internal... raises are extremely small (like cents small).
