Pros
Harris Teeter was one of the only places that was offering above minimum wage, and even though small, yearly raises. The company as a whole really cares about its customers. They were very flexible with schedules as I was in school the entire time I was employed there.
Cons
Sometimes putting customers first meant putting employees last, even when the customers were wrong. This was particularly problematic with rude customers or those who took advantage of the system. After 5 years of working with Harris Teeter, the current management makes a large difference in your experience. Sometimes people would like to play favorites which could affect scheduling and how you were treated on the floor.
