Pros

Decent comp, usually people are easy enough to work with

Cons

Tech stack is old as dirt in many cases, and all the ELT is stuck in the past and does not want to change

Pros

The first couple of layers of people (where all the work gets done) is consistently full of wonderful, dedicated people that are a joy to be around. It’s why so many people stay despite the ever-increasing issues with the senior leadership.

Cons

The company was told in September of 2024 that HQ would be moved, and that Boston was being considered as an option. Seven months later, still no update. Literally NO update, not even what state we will be in. People have built lives, have kids in schools, homes that they love in the RI and southern MA area. It is now borderline cruel and inhumane compared to what the C-Suite preaches as the spirit of the company to not let people know if the company is moving an hour or more away. It is eroding the trust in senior leadership to not be treated as humans with lives. As an aside, why can’t anyone get a promotion at Hasbro? We have to apply to a fully different job to actually move up the ladder, there are zero paths for growth.

Pros

Some of the leaders are great, the work can be fun and rewarding. There’s a great work environment, very flexible hours and hybrid working; half day fridays, new summer break in addition to winter holiday break.

Cons

Company cares more about outward perception and “awards” than the people there. They have been on rocky terrain, trying to get some footing but use large scale layoffs as a short term way to increase budgets. HR does not care about career pathing, growth or putting people where they are best suited. Not a stable place anymore.
