Pros

There are half day Fridays, if you can take them.

Cons

We waste so much time selling stuff that isn't real to senior management to get their approval (and promotions for those higher up) and then delivering products and features that under deliver and consumers won't pay for... Run so lean that you will have to do two people's jobs and by the way the pay is under industry standard so you're underpaid as well as being under appreciated.

Pros

Working with iconic, beloved brands. Half day Fridays. Decent benefits and work/life balance.

Cons

Unless you're "in," you're most definitely out. Salary, opportunities for advancement, and working with or on products/brands/projects that with any visibility all depend on who you've curried favor with. The best mangers who focus on developing their teams rather than simply playing into whatever senior leadership wants are often unceremoniously laid off or pushed out of the company. Those who schmooze and play the game will go far, even if their work is lackluster.

Pros

Half day Fridays are great. Movie screenings.

Cons

Salaries are non-competitive. Health insurance is really bad, it only covers routine visits and any sick visits are not covered. They do not listen to women’s opinions, which has resulted in bad product and bad PR. Some senior leaders are simply not smart and you wonder how they got to their level. Many senior leaders look like clones: white, male, 50ish years old. Many offer non-constructive feedback and turn a cool toy into a dull toy to save $0.03. The company pretends to be ethical yet keeps much of its money in offshore bank accounts and after the Trump tax breaks Hasbro bought back stocks and dumped profits back to shareholders. Less than a year later, they laid off hundreds of employees. The company uses very antiquated policies and systems, which compromises product quality and slows efficiencies. I think the only reason the company is so successful is because they made smart investments and bought great brands. Workload is out of control and some teams are pretty toxic. There seems to be no rhyme or reason on who is promoted or laid off. Really talented devoted employees have been laid off and then others that seem to just skirt by get promoted.
