      Pros

      The two biggest pros for me: 1. Working on problems to solve for accessibility to mental healthcare 2. Minddays -- Every other Friday Headspace employees have off to take care of our mind

      Cons

      The two biggest cons for me: 1. In the past few years, the sense of security is extremely unstable. Two rounds of layoffs have resulted in a 27% reduction in the company with many quiet layoffs occurring in the past year. 2. There's a lack of overall strategy and prioritization from leadership. Even given the reduction in workforce, the amount of work expected from ICs has not changed. So we have to cover all the work that we had teammates to do.

      Pros

      Most colleagues truly care about mental health of members.

      Cons

      1. There's just a lot of internal issues. 2. Current leadership cares a lot more about their own self advancement and not so much their subjects. Actions speak louder than words. 3. The product team leadership has changed a lot in the last 1 year. Mostly resignations. What does that tell you? 4. General mental pressure/fatigue. The perspectives of management the tone of managers is not one of a mental health professional.
