      Best company I have ever worked for

      Pros

      On the first day of new hire orientation, our group met with one of the company founders who said management's goal is for team members to view Health Catalyst as the best company the work for in their entire careers. Turns out he was not kidding. There are many opportunities to contribute meaningful work, develop skills, and generally participate in the company's success. Every time I have made a suggestion someone listened and evaluated it, and implemented it if it made sense.

      Cons

      Very few "cons" since management is so quick to act on feedback and make course corrections. So far challenges seem attributable to a company growing quickly in a demanding market. There are some issues around how best to scale product development, deployment, and other work flows -- it would be more concerning if there were *not* differences of opinion and occasional heartburn.

      Over a Year and Still in Love

      Pros

      I have worked at Health Catalyst for more than a year. I have been waiting for the honeymoon phase to wear off before I write a review but I feel I am still in it. I enjoy working here more now than I did when I first started. This place has great benefits, great people and great leaders. There is a review out there that is titled "I skip to work", I still skip to work. The reviews are true. This is a great place to work. Unlimited PTO! Working from home. Great managers who allow you flexibility to do your work where and how you would like. The list goes on and on.

      Cons

      It is difficult to see where your career is going to grow at Health Catalyst. Leadership is working on fixing this and I believe they can. Another concern is that my skills are falling behind the demands of the market. I am not getting enough exposure to new things and I am not allowed enough time to explore new technologies.

      Great thoughts! I am hearing a pattern around skill set improvement and career bathing (several recent reviews mention this), so you can bet we will be talking more about this. Regarding new grads recruiting, this will be a big focus for us in 2017, as we target professionals coming directly out of school in a variety of roles. We have also talked about a student loan forgiveness program, but have decided to wait until we are profitable before we pursue this one further. I love the idea, and think it will be something on our roadmap in 2017.

      Great company to work for.

      Pros

      1) I've built so many lasting relationships. This is probably the biggest reason why I choose to continue to work for Catalyst. 2) Executives and supervisors always put you and your success before client success. 3) I'm always learning new things, there hasn't been a single day since I started here where I felt bored or like I've maxed out my potential. With that said, the culture allows you to de-stress and take a break when you feel overworked.

      Cons

      Not much to say negatively. One thing is that the break room is so stocked with junk food and soda that it is very difficult to achieve my healthy goals. It contradicts the Health challenges we have.

I understand your thinking, but rest assured the Glassdoor model only works if the integrity of the feedback is carefully guarded.
