Pros

They try to convince you that unlimited snacks and quarterly treats make up for a terrible work/life balance

Cons

Terrible management, Stressful working environment, No work life balance, No training, Too many meetings and not enough time to get actual work done, Extremely heavy workloads, Media polls about "how great it is to work here" are only sent to select people who will rave about the company - not a true representation of employee feedback, No support/direction from management

Pros

• Great health benefits, 401k and unlimited PTO policies (common practice) • HR department tries their best to form a sense of community within a remote setting (mixed team lunches, lunch & learns, virtual happy hours, Bonusly) • Actual professional development programs for both "People Leaders" and Associates via 1-on-1 coaches • Opportunities to collaborate with multiple departments • A diverse company with respects to orientation, gender, race and religion

Cons

• Burnout happens rather quickly in multiple departments, usually settling within the 4th-6th month period. Ask around. People who stay are on auto-pilot thereafter and questioning their existence • For a health company, they're pretty motivated by sales and acquisition, dismissing the value of long-term retention • Not a proactive company that uses data... they're very reactive causing departments to make spontaneous decisions • Recently hired a series of VPs SIMULTANEOUSLY in multiple depts, each with mismatched direction, often clashing with company priorities. • Goals and expectations are unrealistic, with reviews every 3-months (which is not realistic for such a LARGE company) • Performance evaluations are based on the company's revenue, not your efforts • Unlimited PTO policies are irrelevant here, as they implement PTO freezes at will • Echoing sentiments from another commenter about Linkedin posts from leadership. They aren't authentic and leaders are attempting to save face

Pros

The snack game is on point. Can't argue with that one. For the most part, coworkers are fantastic human beings. Remote first company Company is doing very well financially

Cons

Leadership suffers from a severe lack of attention to detail, direction, and the ability to engage in self-reflection. We have hired an inordinate amount of people that are not interested in learning how this business functions, whose sole goal is to politic, increase pressure, and prove their worth in way that is harmful to those who work under them. The promotional structure here is non-existent. It is dependent not on the merits of the work that you do, but more on the ability one has to cozy up to their superiors. The pay is severely under market, and while the snacks are good, there is no amount of (mediocre) birthday cookies that can make up for the fact that affording to live while working here is a challenge. The pressure at this company starts at the very top. We are asked to do the impossible on a daily basis. Middle management is aware of this, but lack the spines to tell leadership. This company has unfortunately created a culture of distrust. At one time you could have a conversation with leadership about your concerns, but it doesn't seem like anyone is too interested in that these days.
