Pros

- Team members often collaborate well - Culture of understanding amongst engineers - Relevant training is available about twice a year

Cons

- Upper management doesn't concern itself with technical debt - Staffing reductions and the use of near shore contractors to reduce cost - Questionable adherence to data privacy due to constant fires - Short planning scope due to legacy code no longer being fully understood by Product or assigned engineers - Upper leadership prescribes solutions without understanding impact - Managers are disempowered to assist engineers due to outsized workloads.

We appreciate your feedback! It’s great to hear you’ve had the chance to work on interesting projects alongside good teammates— that’s a big part of what makes the work meaningful. We also get that sometimes direction can feel unclear and projects more complicated than they need to be — that’s definitely part of the growing-org experience, but it’s still tough. Calling that out helps us see where we can do better while staying focused on supporting teammates and serving our members well.
