Pros

Talented and hard working peers. Great teams, product managers, and direct managers.

Cons

Dozens of team members were blanket-rated poorly (2/5) after the CTO received negative feedback—regardless of individual performance or contribution. Bonuses revoked and raises denied across the board, despite many meeting or exceeding expectations. Team members directly involved in project failures were let go, while the senior leadership responsible for repeated mismanagement faced no consequences. Culture of fear, blame-shifting, and top-down decision-making with little transparency. Good people are leaving, and leadership seems unfazed.

Thank you for your candid feedback. We’re proud of the incredible talent and collaboration across our teams, and it’s clear you experienced that firsthand. We also hear the concerns you’ve shared. Change can be difficult, especially during times of transformation. These changes are part of a broader effort to scale our capabilities and position the business for long-term growth and success. We want to be clear: our senior leaders are held accountable for the performance and health of their organizations. Also, no bonuses or merit increases that were previously awarded have been revoked. Annual compensation decisions as to raises and bonuses reflect each team member's performance at the time of the review. We are actively working to build a culture rooted in accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement—at every level. We know we’re not perfect, but we’re committed to doing better and ensuring our actions reflect the values we stand for. Thank you for being part of that journey.

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re glad you’ve experienced the benefits of our remote culture, generous HSA contributions, and the supportive environment we strive to maintain. We know that times of change—especially with new leadership and organizational shifts—can feel challenging. These changes are part of setting HealthEquity up for long-term success and sustainable growth. That doesn’t make the short-term impacts any easier, and we recognize the need for greater transparency, setting clear performance expectations, and protecting the culture that makes this a great place to work. We’re listening and committed to getting better. Thank you for sharing your perspective—it helps guide our path forward.
