Pros

-Supervisors are supportive and help you achieve your goals. -A lot of opportunity to advance within the company.

Cons

-The company has expanded their offices into two buildings on the same campus. The separation is creating an environment of "us" and "them". Although many employees began their career at HealthEquity in member services, there is definitely a "better than" attitude forming.

Thank you for your review of HealthEquity and your candid comments. You bring up an interesting challenge as we have recently grown into two buildings. We have a better opportunity to succeed as our team members are vocal about their experiences so thank you for raising this issue. We strive to create a whole 'one team' mentality and if there are unknown barriers to this, we encourage others to speak up appropriately. We will continue to monitor the 'pulse' of the organization within the two buildings and at all levels of the organization so each can feel valued and appreciated for their contributions. Thank you for your service and comments here. We will continue to learn and strive for a great working environment.

Pros

The culture is fantastic, and the company promotes a healthy work and life balance. Leadership teams express real interest in what makes their teams' lives better when coming to work.

Cons

Unfortunately, just due to the current code release cycle and style of the development teams, the technology department fights fires more than prevents them. HR also has a strict 10% pay increase cap, so tenured workers typically make significantly less than new hires.

Thank you for your review of HealthEquity on Glassdoor. You bring up a great topic on competitive compensation, and I would encourage you to talk more with your leader and/or the People Team to ensure you feel supported in this topic. HealthEquity has a pay for performance compensation philosophy, and we are continually looking to get more market data to support this comp philosophy. The 10% cap mentioned is more historical and was not intended to be a hard and fast cap as competitive compensation needs a balance of both the art and science behind compensation. We are actively seeking to be more transparent in our comp approach - and your voice helps us better achieve this. Thanks again for the insights and look forward to your contributions to HQY.

Pros

Good mission, supportive place to work, authentic culture that is fun, in a nerdy family kinda way. Lots of opportunity for growth and advancement.

Cons

It's a fast growing company and so expectations are high. But there is a long history of meeting goals, such as bonus targets, and you are not judged by how many hours you put in hanging around the office at night.
