Cons

Not what they preach. Arrogant culture across company. Unless you were hired into HQY, you are made to feel like an outsider and not listened to on any subject. They are uncomfortable with virtual employees, which means leaders are green and not seasoned. Virtual employees are wave of corporations across the country.

I truly enjoyed the several years I worked there. I felt a sense of pride working there and strongly believe in the HSA and empowering Americans to become financially stable regarding their Healthcare. The friendships I made were fantastic and the people I dealt with were generally really good people. The different clubs and social activities are really great and the perks they pull out for ALL the employees come out of nowhere and are really cool.

Cons

Loved the Culture, although it was deteriorating with hard-nosed, bottom-line focused, Senior Management external hires that made it difficult for the more home town values and Team Member focused atmosphere around the office to continue. But I guess if you want to take over the world with the HSA, like they are trying to do, it's probably the right type of people you need. If you like meetings, this is a great place for you.

HealthEquity is, hands down, the best company to work for. Not many companies truly care. HealthEquity cares about the people who work here and the members and partners we serve. Doing what is right is part of our DNA and when the "right" thing is the compass, you head in the right direction and do amazing things. Purple is real (disregard reviews stating the contrary) but the culture is the people! The people who don't get the culture just don't fit the culture and that's okay - they'll find another place to collect a paycheck. HealthEquity believes in people and trusts in people - that may mean taking a gamble on someone that doesn't have 40 years of experience but has drive and passion and values that align with the company mission - and we have awesome, smart, talented, engaged team that gets results because of it!

Cons

Integrating HealthEquity and WageWorks is a lot of work - that can be a pro or a con depending on who you ask. I see it as an awesome opportunity to learn, grow and be a part of something great! Whether you see the glass half full or empty, the next couple of years will be challenging but we'll all be better for it.
