Pros

flexibility is nice, you can move patients around as you wish in the week

Cons

Upper management really dont care about your treatment outcomes, just productivity. You will not be considered for a raise unless you maintain a >10% missed visit rate. Despite, outperforming many of the other PTAs and PTs in the same company .

Pros

Low physical demands – generally not physically strenuous. • Simple, routine tasks – once trained, the work tends to follow predictable patterns. • Decent pay for the qualifications required – salary may be competitive for an entry- or mid-level role, though could improve. • Good stepping stone – builds valuable experience for careers in counseling, social work, or psychology.

Cons

Lack of respect from schools – your role isn’t fully understood or valued by school staff. • Poor management support – leadership doesn’t prioritize your time or needs. • No mileage reimbursement – out-of-pocket travel expenses without compensation. • Limited authority, full accountability – you’re the in-person representative but have little control over scheduling or therapy content. • Therapist works remotely – creates disconnect between therapy plans and on-the-ground realities. • Perceived as a babysitter – responsibilities feel minimized or dismissed despite the importance of the role. • Underpaid for responsibilities – compensation doesn’t reflect the level of responsibility or challenges faced.
