MAJORLY TOXIC work environment. Lots of Upwards bullying & gossip in the DCM department. Apparently this has been going on for years and no one does anything about it. Managers and directors apologized to me daily for not telling me more during my interview about how toxic my team and their behavior was. Union reps and team were allowed to bully my manager and I in meetings daily to the point that my manager would end up in tears.Senior Management and HR were fully aware and never did anything stating they were union and they were allowed to openly discuss their working conditions. There was also no formal training for my position no goals, no annual planning tactics, you are just expected to come to work and put out fires all day.

Because the pay is so high, employees are indirectly given the message if they don’t like certain things, to go work somewhere else. There are engagement survey’s that are rarely filled out honestly due to fear of reprocussions and have minimal follow through. Supervisory positions in the department are not posted, instead favorites are promoted without any interviews. Employees in the case management department are treated as disposable. Applying to different departments within the organization is worthless- no follow through with applicants.
