Pros

Trendy corporate environment. Great location with easy access to mass transit. Some nice amenities, gym, decent cafeteria and local food establishments.

Cons

Corporate management is too far removed from the everyday to be effective. They take on a subordinate role in relationship to top editors and seem to walk on egg shells when it comes to problem solving. There is an apparent lack of systemic accountability which leads to ineffective work practices and deviation from SOP, that negatively affects quality, productivity and wastes company resources. There is a disconnect between the worker bees and management. There is a lot of back ally talk, rumors and a feeling that no one can be trusted. Management usually bases decisions to support their own agenda with ill regard to how their decisions influence things on a greater scale. Management picks up on the obvious and runs with it but drops the ball when it comes to seeing the big picture. Human Resources can use a few lessons in employee advocacy. The health benefits leave a lot to be desired.

Pros

-They really push you to become better - Management generally cares about the concerns of their employees, whether or not they act upon them - Communication is strong between management and employee

Cons

- A meat-grinder mentality that can cause a lot of stress throughout the employees and causes burnout and high turnover - Little communication and rationality in allowing certain tasks to be completed effectively
