Pros

Hearst is a good place to work. A smart company with smart people. They're innovative and treat people well.

Cons

Of all the big publishing companies, Hearst pays the least. You don't have to worry about layoffs like you would at some companies but negotiate hard when you get an offer because you won't have another chance.

Pros

Good benefits and nice atmosphere to work. People are genuinely nice. Hard-working lean environment with opportunities for recognition.

Cons

Over the years they've lost the familial atmosphere and become more cold and corporate.
