Pros

Everyone is working on something that matters and is crucial to the companies' success. The team is made up of experienced and action oriented people with impressive backgrounds. I value being surrounded by talented team members that are willing to jump in and support me even if it's outside their scope.

Cons

The downside of everyone having meaningful work is that most people are spread thin. Similarly, there aren't many "subject matter experts". Though everyone is willing to help, often no one has the answers. You have to get used to finding solutions on your own (which I think is a great skill to build).

Heart is an exciting and fun place to work. The team is top notch and everyone is into the mission. The chance to work on clean sheet aircraft is rare.

Cons

You have to be willing to take on big challenges. Engineers have to be self directed - this may be a bad fit for some.
