Pros

Very diverse, which I appreciate a lot. People with various nationalities and backgrounds are welcomed. There is a lot to learn here.

Cons

perfrmance if individuals and the teams are extremely important. Failing culture is very poor and most of the people avoid failing on okrs or projects because, unfortunately blaming culture is a norm here. Some managers are operating with high ego, so it makes it hard to cooperate.

Pros

Good work-life balance, depending on the team you can also work with shiny technologies. There is a gym available to use now, and the office is nice

Cons

There is no way to understand why C-Levels act the way they do. All communication from them is weird. They straight up threaten people with emails that are sent to all of the company. There are no public channels open for employees to talk about difficult topics. The company does union busting in US, and pushed very hard to avoid having workers council in Germany Salaries are not very good, plenty of companies pay more. Work-from-home policies are getting worse and worse. People are now required to come to the office 3 days a week, but the office doesn't even support all employees at the same time. If you are not European, you cannot work for more than 3 days straight in a country other than Germany. I really believe that at some point the company will require everyone to work from the office all the time

Pros

- The product is nice and the employee discount on the boxes are good.

Cons

The company has an extremely toxic work environment. Leadership and co-workers frequently engage in violent communication, influenced by a CEO who uses passive-aggressive tone in speeches and emails, making it evident that employee opinions hold little importance and suggesting they could find employment elsewhere if they disagree. Technologically, the company is chaotic, with numerous poor code and architectural decisions. Quality and best practices are overlooked, and the focus remain on "quick wins." Consequently, the company perpetuated unsustainable architectures, leading to frequent issues. These decisions were predominantly made by staff engineers, leaving little room for input unless one had personal connections with them. For women in engineering roles, for example, the company offers no growth path. Promotion to staff engineer or leadership positions was primarily reserved for men who were friends with company leaders. Despite claiming to value high performance, the company maintained incompetent and aggressive engineers in leading roles, resulting in problematic technical choices. The company's values appeared superficial, as the culture contradict them. Ego-driven individuals persist despite the company's claim to value an egoless environment. While professing to be data-driven, most teams make decisions without data, and product owners conjure up random roadmaps without solid foundations. Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) initiatives rely solely on employee efforts through Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), as the C-level executives show little support. Executives use employees' hard work on DE&I primarily for performative LinkedIn posts, disregarding their contributions during performance reviews. The CEO made it clear that these were solely employee initiatives, indicating a lack of genuine care or action.
