Great for new grads to learn but no true growth for strong performers only for the people that spent the time socializing instead of working.

Cons

Leadership decisions are causing a lot people to leave from the mid-level range(Project Managers, Technical Managers and independent designers) without being able to back fill those roles so the people left are stuck picking up all the work. mid level employees are leaving mainly from lower than average compensation and poor leadership.

Pros

There is a lot of employee support from the company both for work and for life. The company provides a lot of resources for people to do their work. Upper management is very engaging with all the employees and is constantly trying to improve. The most impressive thing I saw at Henderson was the internship program. Instead of just hiring college students for menial tasks, the internship program exposed the interns to a lot of trades and the full-time employees were actively showing the interns how to design the system and the construction process. At the end of the internship, the interns had a presentation showing what they had learned at Henderson.

Cons

Small specialty trades tend to be push in the direction of the rest of the company even it it hurts those trades.

Great for an MEP Firm, Not a Career

Great Boss (I was lucky in this), I owned my own schedule, emphasis on quality, lots of industry leaders, has lots of excellent and kind people, Loved my client (I was unique here). But I loved my client more than I loved Henderson, so that was indicative.

Cons

OT is Gone, leadership decisions are questionable, great employees aren't rewarded accordingly, the "small firm" feel is gone. Henderson wants to be the company that changes the industry, but instead has moved closer and closer to what industry norms are. They're shaping to the mold, not breaking it.
