Insurance, double time after 50, no weekends required

Cons

Promotions are given based on how much you suck up to those in the office. You can punch a fellow employee and then get a line lead spot 6 months later if you're a brown noser. I was told that certain employees don't have to keep the pace or rotate stations because of their age/race (ageism/racism). The company will brag to new hires that we don't work weekends while the plant manager is actually trying to make weekends mandatory. Management acts like they care about input from floor workers but they honestly couldn't care less.

Pay was decent for the level of experience required of the job.

Cons

New plant and direct supervisors consisted largely of the people who just happened to start at the plants inception with very minimal leadership skills. Turnover is through the roof. All advancement goes to friends of the office workers. Any shift other than first is treated as second class citizens. Overall culture of negativity towards the front office and their ever changing policies. Asked for feedback from employees but never implemented anything of value.
