Poor leadership and direction

Pros

Hendrickson allows you to grow your skills in the company if you are willing to put in the effort. They also have good technology for a mid sized privately held company. It can be a great place to work if you are in the right group.

Cons

1. The management is very poor. Everyone has an agenda and the fighting between directors is nauseating. The top leadership needs to make some changes on all levels. Just because you are a good engineer, finance guy or marketing person doesn't make you a good leader. Promote leaders and not on seniority or trivial accomplishments. 2. Not much room to advance once you hit the glass ceiling. 3. To many antiquated processes 4. Continuous improvement is talked about often but rarely implemented. 5. HR is full of very evil employees who only care about risk management only. They say they are "for the employees" but reality is the exact opposite. 6. The truck division struggles to launch new product. The fighting between groups slows all progress.

Pros

Room for advancement Culture that encourages promotion from within Focused not only on business health, but an attitude that fosters employee engagement and encourages safe working environments

Cons

Average at-best compensation. Work-life balance could be better Expectation for employees to take initiative to take on responsibilities for a new role/project before being formally promoted and developed into a role.
