Worst Company to work for!

Pros

Ability to move up quickly in this company. They have many locations with in the state of Colorado and all over the U.S.

Cons

The upper management provides no support for the employees on a local level. The company makes rules and regulations without research, and then reverses them months later. They try to tell you they put ethics ahead of everything, but they do not! The off airport upper managers in Colorado do not care about what their employees have to deal with on an every day basis! They allow reservations to be booked for vehicles that are not available & amount of vehicles that are not available! They tell you to rent to customers who are paying more and just tell people who may have booked months earlier they can wait. It didnt matter if they were traveling or didnt have anywhere to go. We were to tell customers we are sorry but the reservation is for a rate but does not guarantee a vehicle! So much paperwork & responsibilities are dropped on branch managers that you can not get everything done! Your expected to do whatever it takes to get positive customer reviews because that is how the upper management bonuses. They expect you to bribe, lie to, or anything else to have them send reviews. They also have employees do a review at the end of the year that has employees rate how we view the company to work for, but base your bonus off of the answers being high as possible! This means that the employees lie about their happiness to work for the company so that they get a bonus! How is that ethical?! Your expected to work 70+ hours a week without overtime.

Nothing other than a paycheck.

Cons

If you think you’re on the road to a branch manager position by accepting a “manager trainee” position, think again. Lack of leadership, overworked, never enough cars or staffing to handle reservations. Keep accepting reservations even after you’re oversold. Then expected to tolerate angry customers beating you down because of poor planning and lack of management support; week after week. Their solution? Hang in there!

Pros

Let me think on this..... none.

Cons

The management greet you with a smile: and collude behind your back. They will tell you that they use a merit-based system: and then play favorites. The promises that are made at Hertz are a sick joke. When you see the turnover rate or the dead look of employees who have just been here too long, you will understand why so many negative reviews are listed on this site. I wish that I had heeded the many warnings, but all I got from my experience here was an empty bottle of roofies. kinda Hurts eh?
