Pros

Cool cars, overtime available, benefits ok, helpful HR dept

Cons

Hertz hired unskilled and inexperienced managers. Insensitive to needs of employees, petty and argumentative. Only cares about sales numbers, not employee morale. Sexist manager favored male employees. Promises of promotion and pay increase in manager trainee program....but only Once management gets around to scheduling your interviews (never happened) ... Hired with understanding of pay structure then they changed it and I made less with each promotion than what I agreed to when I was hired. Late employees NEVER faced repercussions. I felt like my hard work and punctuality was taken advantage of.

Pros

There are painfully few large corporate job options in Naples, Hertz is now an option. I met some nice people, all of whom have since left Hertz.

Cons

I find the reviews on here curious since every person I know who started when I did has since quit. They mislead you as to what the position truly is including responsibilities, hours, and pay. The director was unprofessional and downright mean on many occasions to the point that I put in a complaint to HR and they basically told me Id have to get HIS approval before I could request a transfer - made no sense. Training was horrific. The position was challenging only to the extent of the IT and being on call 24/7, which they did not disclose during any of my five interviews; in fact they told me opposite. It was mind numbingly boring; nothing Id ever done in my previous positions. I felt horrible for the folks in the field because they are all frustrated to no end because of the turnover, HQ changes/confusion, lack of being heard by HQ, etc. Management spends all their time in meetings or behind closed doors. Don't confine in management. Submitting a T&E or getting supplies is even a pain; there's no support staff. It's literally the very worst, most unprofessional, disorganized company I have ever worked for in my life. I'm only writing this because another friend of mine just left, but everyone is afraid to tell the company why they're leaving. I wish I would have known what it was like before I accepted the job. It was a very disappointing experience.

Pros

it's a job. You get paid. You most likely won't starve and die while you are working.

Cons

lack of organization. counter intuitive IT system. Cleaning dirty cars. Dealing with waves customers and answering phones and cleaning cars all at once. (Customers are getting impatient, phones are keep ringing, cars are still dirty, people make reservations online 30 minutes before they come in)
