A simple job at a busy location means extra hands are always needed. So at times as an employer they can't afford to be too picky about who they hire. This means you sometimes work with some people who really don't care and don't take much pride in what they do. There are some great people who have worked there for a very long time however so just like any job it goes both ways.

Unfortunately the potential is getting destroyed with some of the wrong decisions of the SMT. Agree that problems started during the period of last CEO, however as Employees a number of us feel there was lot of activity and acquisitions then. Let alone that we did not have the IT capacity to do that. But now the Management is only interested in outsourcing functions out to IBM and Accenture. They do not even wait to see how one outsourced function works before deciding to outsource the next function. SMT are interested only in money saving and not quality. This has been the problem with Hertz all this while. The SMT for a period make decisions to suit them, they leave. The next set of SMT then make their decisions which do not benefit the company in the long run. Hence the future of the company and its well known culture is down the drains unfortunately.
