      Pros

      Great products and people both locally and globally.

      Cons

      Poor market research into certain products before launch - I raised concerns 8-10 months before being made redundant due to product not being fit for market. Not supported by other teams locally. Told I was failed by the company by two senior leaders.

      Pros

      Segment-leading products. Good work-life balance. Employee first culture. Smart, capable coworkers. As an American, the Finnish culture is a breath of fresh air compared to US companies where I have worked.

      Great learning experience as a junior engineer

      Gained valuable hands-on experience working on real production systems. Supportive team with experienced engineers who were willing to help and share knowledge. Good opportunity to learn new technologies and improve problem-solving skills in a real-world environment.

      As a placement student, it can take time to get fully up to speed with internal systems and technologies. Some tasks can be quite specific to the company’s tools, which may not always transfer directly to other roles.
