Pros

In sales, Hibu took care of the senior sales people so I benefited greatly. Your time is your own as long as you make management money.

Cons

As they continued to go through bankruptcy, sales force was either kept in the dark or lied to about the situation. I am told that now sales has an extremely short leash and the managers let go people who don't produce for even a week.

Thank you for your long standing service to hibu. We value all of our employees and are happy you benefited from your time with the organization. We do have fair objectives set for our sales teams and give ample time to achieve these goals. While hibu never went through bankruptcy, communication is very important to us and updates regarding the company are regularly shared with employees.

Pros

The other members of the team were great, helpful and we cared for each other. Direct manager was great.

Cons

Training was arduous and completely inadequate once in the field. The information given was outdated. Once you get in the field you basically learn from other team members or by yourself. The products you sell aren't bad but they aren't as good as you're taught to sell them. The websites desktop platforms aren't bad but the mobile platform looks like it was designed in the 90's. You make sales and create relationships but are constantly worried customer service is going to screw it up. You have to basically double and triple check everything to ensure it doesn't get screwed up. If you like being micro-managed this is the job for you. If you like constantly worrying this is the job for you. If you are motivated by scare tactics, by negative reinforcement, by constantly being beat up by upper management this is the job for you. I can't speak for other regions but this is my experience in the Pike region.

We’re glad you enjoyed your team and your direct leadership, that often times is where the true relationships stem from within an organization. Our business is constantly transforming and our training is as well. We appreciate your feedback and your perspective. We do maintain that our training sets a solid foundation for development and sales success within our organization. Our initial new hire training, as you might remember, is three week indoctrination of the basics of our product suite, selling skills and our order entry and fulfillment process. As you spend time in the field, honing your skills as a sales representative at hibu, our additional weekly training sessions and optional online learning segments through eLearning modules and videos help to aid in the development and ongoing growth needed to continue to develop your selling skills at hibu. Together these aspects, coupled with great leadership within the organization, help our sales team to feel supported and ultimately help our sales teams find increased success selling our diverse product line.
