I worked at High Point University and found it to be a great work environment. The people are friendly and the campus is beautiful.

Cons

Some students can be a little condescending in their behavior towards HPU staff, but there are also some great students too!

Pros

When most days you are able to pinch yourself and ask the question, do I get paid to do this? That's when you know you are surrounded by a great work environment. The projects can be overwhelming, but when you break it down day by day it starts to become easier to achieve success. I throughly enjoy working with students on a daily basis and ultimately become a solution finder on a daily basis (not a problem solver!).

Cons

In IT there seems to be a lot of turnover, which can be a negative but can also be a positive as we will be adding fresh eyes and new ideas to our team. Sometimes it's challenging working at the helpdesk, but again I turn it into customer service for our students here at HPU.
