Pros
As long as they need you and you play the kiss-up game, you'll be fine, with a decent salary.
Cons
The second they need to save their skin or prove to ownership that they are taking some sort of action, they will start firing anyone they can (i.e. non-union people). Performance and past loyalty don't matter. Everyone is expendable and Highgate execs will stab you in the back in a second.
