Grim future ahead for Highmark, Inc.
Pros
Free parking and free on-site gym, but probably not much longer until Senior Management discovers this as another opportunity to pull the rug out from employees.
Cons
To numerous to count. I once saw Highmark as the "beacon on the hill" and the company that I needed to get in to because of the position they once held in the industry. But no more, I have seen the light and fully realize now that Highmark is gone off the rails and is no longer the industry leader. New hire training is a joke as so called mentors don't even know the applications, processes and procedures themselves. You are placed in a silo to work on your own, figure out your own questions and try to learn by failure until you by some slim chance figure something out on your own. You are set up to not be successful so Management can rate you unfavorably on your performance and start their twisted justification that you should be eliminated in your position with Highmark. I would never recommend anyone seek employment with Highmark. Save yourself the misery, disappointment and frustration you will most certainly endure daily. Highmark is no longer the "beacon on the hill", rather they are a complete train wreck. Any potential customer seeking to align with Highmark as their vendor.....think twice and look at other vendors in the industry before signing on with Highmark (Health Solutions). Their product(s) is subpar and wrought with defects, design flaws, etc., etc., etc.
