Pros

It was a pay check. And they treated us to lunch a couple of times. My actual MANAGER was great. It was the so called leads acting like they never had a leadership role in their life that were the problem.

Cons

Everything. First of all the unprofessionalism. This place was giving high school featuring grown adults. Everyone also just yaps. Loudly. As a recruiter who had to do multiple screening calls with candidates a day, I had to deal with loud rambunctious laughter in the background of my calls which my candidates could hear. Also, the person who eventually became my lead was clearly only hired/promoted because of their connections to leadership and clearly had it out for the much younger women on the team such as myself. They ended up leaving or being let go because she was such an awful lead. I could no longer take the micro managing. But this lead let me go due to jealousy, and my own manager had no idea I was let go. That’s how disfunctional this place was! I had no problems with leadership or none of that before this person became my lead so that should tell you everything. In fact, a lot of people on my team were very confused about it and reached out to me afterwards. I later found out this woman had been borderline stalking me. Clocking everytime i got up to even just use the bathroom or take my break or lunch. Screen shotted the times i clocked in and out. Really unhinged stuff. So was actually glad I no longer had to be in that toxic environment. This was just a job to pay bills and get through grad school. So I felt relief that I no longer had to go. My mental health instantly improved. I was able to get unemployment while finishing up my degree and land low stress, high paying wfh jobs in my ideal field. So I’m more than great now. But the people at this job you really could not trust. For example, I made one mistake and it was the first and only time I had made it. Up until then I was performing my job perfectly. Then another lead of mine sent an email pointing out my mistake and correcting me and CC’d leadership. That really rubbed me the wrong way because I’d never made a mistake before and he’d never CC’d anyone in our emails before that and it felt like he was trying to gain favor with leadership or prove to them he was doing his job, idk. I thought he was a cool lead until then. So again, it’s hard to trust these people. They’ll throw you under the bus first chance they get. That honestly was one of my last straws. This was my first office job and it really left a bad taste in my mouth and I really thought this is how it is working in an office. And you can’t trust anybody. But my other experiences since then has proven that they’re not all like that. This was just a very unfortunate experience and place to work at. Also, the clients are unprofessional too! They laughed at a coworker of mine when they stumbled on their words during a video meeting. Like literally, you can’t mute your mic instead of laughing in someone’s face. And this happened a couple of times where they are clearly laughing in our faces while we’re in a meeting with them. And they have crappy jobs that they want us to magically fill while they offer $7 an hour to do laborious warehouse work. And then will talk to you condenscendingly when you try to advocate for a measly $9 instead. Anyways, I’m so glad those days are behind me. I was truly in the trenches.

They paid a wage and pay checks don’t bounce

Absolutely horrible place to work. Was told to leave potential new hires ghosted for weeks. Managers take work and commissions. Very dishonest management
