      Pros

      Great place to gain experience. The product is interesting. There is oportunity to travel which I like. Benefits are decent.

      Cons

      The salaries are not competitive at all. An effort to become more competitive was made several years ago but I think it was just lip service. Promotion from within is rare.

      Pros

      Better salary than competitors Really good benefits (health insurance and 401K especially) compared with competitors in the same industry.

      Cons

      Glass ceiling when it comes to promotion. i.e. management positions are mostly occupied by people from the owner company in Japan. they come and go every 3 to 5 year as senior management (director, CEO, CFO, etc.) even though some of them don't even speak English. you will never be able to be promoted beyond general manager unless you bring tons of profit to the company.
