Pros

Good work/life balance; very good benefits; nice facilities; great people; nice events for home employees; ability to have any impact across all areas; everyone knows each other; fair pay. Great place to get experience and put it to good use for someone else.

Cons

Senior managment can't get out of their own way; little room to move; question if current senior management can take company to the next level; departmental silos; words like "team" and "quality" used a lot, but no real substance to them; slow to change. Some managers afraid to creatively lead for fear of being "wacked" by their VP, new ideas are not valued.

Pros

Well organized, competent management. Excellent training. High business ethics. Strong company culture and company image. Well defined work process but sometimes too many reports. Respect collegues and have good overall working relationship. Conservative, quality oriented.

Cons

Risk-adverse, may miss some opportunities. Too heiarchal, all decisions must go through Japan. Some business processes to complicated and slow.

Pros

Benefits are good and some of the people you work with are great. The technology you get to work with is usually cutting edge or better. On the whole, the company is willing to invest in training employees so that they can stay up to date with the most current technology.

Cons

Management mainly seems to care about getting more power, covering their tails, and placing the blame. There is very little communication between areas and most of that is between the lower levels trying to share needed information without getting caught. HR is run by an engineer with very little care or understanding of human needs. Complaints are greeted with "at least you have a job"
