Organization and management need some work. We're all mostly young so that makes it fun, but it also makes communication mostly non existent. It's difficult to figure out who is actually in charge of projects, and the people in charge tend to have very contradictory and conflicting views of what they want from each project and the company as a whole. Meetings with management are sometimes encouraged sometimes discouraged depending on the person, and you sort of have to create work for yourself to do if you want opportunities. Higher level employees, mainly in Shanghai, can take days or weeks off without notifying their team, making it difficult to do basic parts of your job. There are also a lot of personalities, some with very big egos who, when they aren't being celebrated, attack their coworkers ideas rather than improve their own. Other people are very nice and great to work with. This all leads to a feeling of anxiety whenever a work notification goes off, rather than a feeling of fun or excitement.

Lack of transparency of information from the management and will only give you on close deadlines. They don't trust remote worker at all - always having issues with them. Layoffs is happening and still they are being secretive. Also layoff happened bc of the upper management, causing the whole team to be dispersed and laid off. Low pay and long hours. As a part of the global team, we were never informed of anything. Even if we do, information are usually very vague and you have to rely on your in-office workmates for it.
