      Pros

      The pay is good for full time.

      Cons

      Benefits are not that good. You are made to wear a silly looking polo shirt, If you need an apron it must be worn over the silly looking polo shirt. Music is the same day in and day out. Yes, they close at 8pm, but we were made to stay until after midnight some nights, just to clean. I don't think it's just about cleaning. When you leave for the night, you feel no sense of accomplishment because the DM will show up the next day and say that it wasn't done right. Mismanagement. Managers have no people skills at all. No motivational skills either except the threat of punishment (late nights of cleaning, being written up, etc.)

      Pros

      Learn a lot of craft secrets. Get the jump on seasonal merchandise that's coming out. Fairly fast paced work environment. Not a lot of down time. Lots of friendly customers. Clean work environment.

      Cons

      Can have times of high stress and pressure with deadlines. A lot of physical labor. Constant rearranging of the store. A lot of pressure from the district managers to the managers to you. Not very flexible on getting time off.

      I had high hopes going in. Then got blown away with fundamental pettiness and contradictions.

      Pros

      It's a job...I guess. Customers are usually pretty nice. The real employees (honest, hard-working, not back-stabbers) tend to huddle together for protection.

      Cons

      I get tired of customers saying they appreciate a Christian-based company. Because the Christian-based company cares nothing for them or the employees.
