Pros

The people- everyone you at the store, not just my department are good stand up people. If you have ever worked somewhere when this isn't the case, you know its makes all the difference in the world. Management- They treat you like people, respectful, and don't talk down to you like lots of managers do. If you are confused about something they will take to time to make sure you understand.

Cons

Limited full time positions- there seems to be a set number of full time positions per store, and since it is a pretty nice place to work a vacancy is rare. I'm at 9 months and counting hoping for full time, and others have been waiting longer. A little behind on technology- This is pretty obvious at the store when it comes to price checks ect. but it is something I have been told is being worked on

Pros

Closed Sundays and most holidays. Also doesn't open until 10 and closes at 9. Large company with plenty of room for advancement. A wholesome company that you won't feel negative about working for.

Cons

You realize quickly that the quality of merchandise is not very good. Not very challenging you can get bored fast and often. The pay is not great, but is to be expected from a typical retail environment like this. The company seems old fashioned when it comes to technology. I'm not sure if this was to save money or why, but it would often make for clumsy errors in cashiering as well as longer lines for customers.

Pros

They raise their minimum wage every year, $1 for Full Time People and 50 cents for part time. Right now the current rate is $14 hr starting for full time and $9.50 starting for part time. They truly know how to take care of their employees and they always work around your schedule. At my store they even help you find second jobs if you need them and they raise your hours.

Cons

There are absolutely no downsides to Hobby Lobby, unless you aren't religious....but if you aren't then Hobby Lobby probably isn't somewhere you are going to apply at anyway.
