Pros

The corporation is doing well and its good job security in these trying times. THere is always a great deal of work to do and it is never boring.

Cons

Get used to working ridiculous hours under stress and silly deadlines. The upper management have no idea how long things really take and demand instant results but at the same time are harking on you about your payroll. If you are good at losing 20-30 days off a year and not getting them back or being offered any comp time for extra hours worked then again this place is good for you. If you work 80 hours one week and the next you need to leave an our early for a doctors appoitnemnt be ready to make up that hour by being forced to stay late the next day. Again its ridiculous. But if you need a job, you need a job. Retail sucks and retial management is the worse so you have to expect it. But do not be fooled by the recruiter it is not any different then the rest fot he retial world.

Pros

Hours from 9am to 8pm. Every other weekend off. Closed Sundays.

Cons

No training. Un-Organized. Lets do everything wrong first time before we get it right. Made to think you are apart of something, when you're just manual labor! PUSH, PUSH, PUSH cheaply made products. Un-realistic expectations, pressure to get things done in your own department while expecting you to cover multiple areas, then question you why things aren't done. NO EXCUSES!!!!

Pros

The Sunday off due to them being closed is really nice to guarantee time with loved ones. As a person involved in retail for a couple of decades, it's nice to work in a place where the clientele shops because they want to, not because they have to (ie. grocery where there can be some serious nasty attitudes). The pay is above scale.

Cons

The level of micro-management is so high as to be absurd. The challenge is not in the work that you do, but in turning down your intellect and creativity to the point that you're able to do it. There seems to be a mentality prevalent in upper management that the only people capable of decisions beyond perhaps shoe-tying reside in the corporate offices in OK City.
