Pros

Fun people. Managers worked with you, not above you. Very unique and fun way to do things.

Cons

No reasoning for people full time other than being the favorites. Almost no communication about store plans from managers.

Pros

Our manager was young and on the rise so he was always open to suggestions and liked to work hard. Being a family man, he understood the need for schedule adjustments and was always willing to covernfor anyone when needed. I don't know about other Hobby Lobby managers but I really enjoyed working for this one. The customers were great because they were always working on some creative project or another so their minds were focused on exactly what they wanted. I was always excited when they brought pictures of their finished projects for me to see.

Cons

Hard work, long hours. Don't apply here if you're afraid to work.

Pros

$12 per hour for full time employees. Generous Christmas bonus.

Cons

Very hard work with fewer people doing the work because they pay us so well. Very high turnover rate, and vacancies aren't filled right away so management can keep payroll costs down, instead they just bully the rest of us into working faster and harder. There is also a high degree of favoritism, with the favorite people being exempt from cashiering, while the rest of the department staff having to stop work in their departments to cover the lack of sufficient cashiers. Also, while they offer health benefits and vacations, these are only offered to full time employees, and vacations can only be taken one week at a time, so that we aren't off during our Saturday to work, which is every other Saturday.
