Pros

Great management, loved company culture and coworkers. Very professional environment.

Cons

High pressure sales job. Not an easy product to sell. Customers don't really want to speak to you. Have to be extremely aggressive sales person.

Corruption and favoritism

Pros

Good medical benefits and travel benefits. Nice new office location. Good income if you are corrupt.

Cons

Corrupt supervisors. Only a select group of agents get quality inbound calls. Management can change how many calls you get, where the calls come from and the frequency of the incoming calls. The agents who produce the most pay the supervisors under the table for these preferred campaigns and skill sets. Many supervisors (all but one are male) have affairs with top producing female reps and several are married men. The rules apply to some, not all and favoritism is a huge negative factor. Drugs and alcohol used extensively by leadership. Very poor training. Supervisors only help a few agents (the ones who are paying them under the table). Very unprofessional language and bullying from a few supervisors in inbound. The more you pay the supervisor, the greater chance of success monetarily. Top producers never use the word "timeshare" though that is what we are trying to sell. When upper management approached about this, they avoid the topic and ignore. Different rules for different agents. Discrimination is at a high. HR doesn't have a clue and inept. The reason there are so many ads placed is because we can't keep agents. Upper management has no idea what happens in the call center. There is so much dishonesty and corruption. This company has a bad reputation in the timeshare industry. An internal investigation needs to take place and leadership terminated and replaced with honest and ethical employees. Orange Lake pays too high a salary to management compared to the industry in Orlando. Greed creates more greed. Not a good place to work but I am forced to stay. Good people leave and the dishonest remain, Upper management needs to clean house.

Pros

They are a growing company. Good compensation for management. Good benefits. Pay scale 30% higher than industry average. Privately owned company. The top leaders seem genuine.

Cons

A few of the sales reps make money, but are on different campaigns that the majority of reps. Favoritism plays a key role. One or two agents are on good campaigns on each team to create inhouse competition. The majority get calls from low income locations who do not qualify, Canada or other countries. Lower level management is very corrupt. Agents pay supervisors to be put on the better campaigns and this is collected under the table. Policy and procedure is sporadic and not consistent across the board. Not all employees are treated the same. Some agents sit for long periods waiting for calls and others get call after call. Senior management deflects these accusations and questions. While the objective is to sell timeshare packages, the top reps never use the word timeshare during their pitch, especially the top dog in the call center. He throws it in at the end, very sneaky. Other top producing reps sell "imaginary getaways," meaning they are not truthful about where the guest is staying, how many people it sleeps and so on. Management okays these dishonest sales because they get paid on volume. Management gets paid too much compared to the competition and are dishonest. Greed creates more corruption. The theory is, "tell them anything you have to and get the sale." Very unethical conduct.
