Pros
Flexible hours (16-20 per week minimum), good effort to match care pros with clients, 401k matching 5%
Cons
Inappropriate rules, heavy-handed enforcement. For example, a prohibition against giving your cellphone number to a client. If you’re giving respite care for a family caregiver, the family member usually wants to leave the house for part of your shift. You and that client need to be able to get in touch if necessary: the client may be delayed in traffic, you may need to ask a question. Yet if HR becomes aware you have shared your phone number, you are called in for a scolding and a demerit goes into your file.
