multiple clients and employment hours abundantly available. training available and encouraged, flexible schedule

Cons

little respect for employees and consider employees and clients as interchangeable, Too many office staff to be involved or personal in a very personal business. Always pushing employees to work more hours. Pay raises few and far between.

Pros

The company culture was good and supportive of their workers with training, parties, and events.

Cons

The pay was very low, especially for this expensive area we live in. They allowed their clients very short shifts, which means you pay for gas and wear and tear on your car and get paid for just one or two hours. Hardly worth the effort. This job is only worth it if you can get regular, long shifts but they are pretty rare. If you want to get in lots of hours you have to open your schedule wide which makes it hard to schedule your own life because you never know when you are going to be called.

I am unable to provide any pros at this time since I have not had any assignments since being offered the job over 2 months ago.

Cons

Low pay to start, you can increase your pay by approximately $1- $2 per hour but only after attending a two day course to get your certification as a Personal Care Attendant which is of course, unpaid and requires you to miss two full days of work if you have a full time position or to sacrifice an entire weekend if you are unable to attend the training during the week. Limited work opportunities available as a homemaker/companion unless you are able to work during the day or are available every weekend. Ultimately you become forced in a sense to take the certification class just to get some work as the majority of their needs are for PCA services.
