Pros

If you have a good director and you get an actual good territory that is not parsed through and was sold bad deals (which is rare) it could be fruitful for about a year. If you are a recent college grad near Richmond. Take the job and use it to set your self to pivot out of sales or get a better sales job

Cons

Lots of layoffs will sell you the dream as a college grad and fire you in 5-7 months. Be careful bosses can be hell to deal with and if you have a bad territory you will make no money and deals sold by other people will get placed on you and they will take your commission. Costar has always been a really challenging company to work for if you are not senior director and above. In or out of sales.

Pros

The pay/commission was great and the website really is fantastic. You also meet a bunch of wonderful people, so it’s great for networking

Cons

The culture feels a bit like a boys club - you can be successful no matter what, but it wore me down seeing teammates post their Hooters pics in the groupchat and doing ritualistic meeting chants. You’ll also find “change” just means your job gets harder and your commission gets smaller.
