Opportunity for those willing to put in hard work

Pros

The company has many employees who are hard working and caring individuals who give their all even when their teams have been stretch thin at times. Their is a family atmosphere around most teams. The new changes in senior management I believe are for the better. The company itself is changing as well as the business market that the company was built around. If change and or hard work scares you as an employee then this company is probably not for you, but if you are adaptable and hard working then their is room for individual growth in a way that isn't possible at most software companies.

Cons

The market has changed, and the company is now working to catch back up. I believe however that we are headed in the right direction.

Pros

Horizon recently merged with CBORD and there is a great corporate culture being established between the two companies as we develop our talent and continue to improve culture.

Cons

Salary is not as competitive as it could be.

Horizon has merged some operations and management with CBORD and this combination has brought fresh energy and enthusiasm to both companies. Change can bring exciting opportunities! The Company values retaining its employees and providing a culture of innovation and transparency. Management invites open-door communication and welcomes constructive, fresh ideas from its employees.

Pros

Having been here for over 10 years, I can tell you that it's been a long time since we've had such a sense of focus and direction. I know we have a ways to go, but I'm proud to be part of the heritage here, as well as where we're headed.

Cons

As with any change in upper management, there's an initial ripple effect which creates a natural reaction of fear, uncertainty, and doubt. There has still been a lingering sense of "what's next?", but a positive outlook nonetheless.

Horizon has seen a fast pace of change and reorganization over the past year-all for the better of the company and its employees to stay competitive and remain a leader in the market. Some will feel anxious around change and some will find it exciting. Transparency and open communication, accountability and empowering employees with information is the new culture. Positive attitudes, teamwork and communication is what makes it all work.
