Pros

Competitive Benefits, top of the line equipment, well-known hospital system, yearly wide system wide events

Cons

Mandatory Quarterly trainings can be tedious, toxic dog-eat-dog work environment in ICUs. Must interview and do unit based projects/committees yearly to advance to RN III, if not, will demote back to RN II. Multiple punitive unit based projects that require you to report co-worker/peer insufficiencies to management to advance to RN III. Patient is always right, employee comes second. Requesting PTO request must be done 6 months+ in advance. Short staffing common in ICUs. 1:2 nurse-patient ratio for ICU despite patient having multiple devices (I.E CRRT, IABP, etc.) except ECMO. ECMO is 1:1.
