      Pros

      Good relationship between staff and management. Managers are friendly and respect the employees. Schedule flexibility, autonomy. Medical Center cafeteria is wonderful. Patients and their families see the staff with respect.

      Cons

      Electronic charting is not user friendly. Not so good Interdisciplinary team approach(case managers, social workers avoid their responsibilities and are not held accountable for that).

      Pros

      good food, good culture for nurses, they really want nurses to learn and broaden their knowledge base

      Cons

      low pay for transplant coordinator compared to competing hospitals,lot of favoritism in order to get to management or leadership positions. Not a place for minorities to move up. transplant center also has too much drama within the center itself. Also no work life balance if you work in the center.

      Houston Methodist Hospital is the best place to work. While honoring culture and diversity of employees and patients, the hospital is one of the leading patient care sites in the United States.

      Salary is somewhat less competitive at Houston Methodist versus other entities.
