After a job offer is accepted, candidates will be screened for drug and tobacco use, including nicotine gum and patches. If a candidate tests positive for nicotine, the job offer will be rescinded. However, individuals can participate in a free Houston Methodist tobacco cessation program and reapply 90 days after the rescinded offer.
