Smart smart people Amazing facilities (thanks for the seperated recycling EVERYWHERE and addition to pre-packed sandwiches and salads for those working late ) Plenty of activities like yoga, cycling, football if thats your thing Completely transparent, I know whats going on in product, finance and marketing ahead of the curve and I work in sales The amount I've learned in a year and a half is hard to comprehend Compensation is what you'd expect from a leading tech company, lots of bonuses and prizes up for grabs too

Cons

We work hard, that may or not be your thing An always on culture, but a lot of that is self inflicted Work remote/from home is on a team by team basis and some get more leeway than others. I know this is something we're working on but flexibility is a serious plus

A strong engineering culture

Pros

HubSpot has a great engineering culture. There is a strong platform for engineers to focus on building great software instead of infrastructure. The heavy investment in the platform team makes HubSpot a joy to work for. HubSpot also has talented engineers who are patient and willing to mentor. I've been impressed with the breadth and depth of work HubSpot engineers have mastered.

Cons

It doesn't always feel like there's strong buy-in on getting a project across the finish line, which leads to some project churn.

As you noted, our platform team is pretty incredible, both in terms of their technical expertise but also the business acumen they are using to help drive our corporate strategy forward. I really love that you call out that so many folks have been willing to mentor and support you, so glad to hear that. I agree with you on project churn--I think that's a bit of an issue company-wide. Ultimately, it's a good thing we try a lot of new things but seeing more things to completion (or at least explaining why we switched gears) would likely be more productive long-term.
