      Pros

      - Amazing people, perks, and benefits - Empowered to do great work & given great autonomy - Management listens and responds to feedback extraordinarily well - Real commitment to diversity & inclusion efforts from leadership - Katie Burke is a gem and having her as our Chief People Officer is the best thing to ever happen (not exaggerating)

      Cons

      - We are definitely underpaid (especially in engineering) - Only 12 weeks of paid maternity leave, which is pretty low for this industry - Still mostly white dudes, especially in sales & engineering (and leadership overall)

I'm not exaggerating either when I say it's the best thing about my entire career to get to work with people like you every day, and I feel humbled and energized to get here every day, so thank you, for both the compliment (I may have teared up...) and for all the hard work you do every day.       Best company in my 20 year career.. and the best days are still to come

      Pros

      I've worked at five companies in my career and seen many others and HubSpot is, hands down, the best on so many levels. I have been able to work with some of the smartest people I've ever met, been given incredibly challenges to solve, have had a ton of fun, and have been able to help our customers succeed. While HubSpot has already accomplished a lot, the best days are still ahead.

      Cons

      If you are coming in with a lot of experience, come in with an open mind. HubSpot is different from any place I've ever worked at -- and that's a lot of what makes it special. But if you come in unwilling to embrace those differences and always talk about "this is how we did it at my last company", you will struggle.

      My favorite line of your review is "while HubSpot has already accomplished a lot, the best days are still ahead." I think that's the ultimate hallmark of where we are as a company--never satisfied, always striving to get better and improve, and with an eye toward future improvement. I'm glad we make you proud and stand out from the pack from other places you work--I hope we continue to do so as we grow and scale. Also agree with you on external leaders coming in--we need to make that playbook a bit easier for both the leaders and for the folks who work for them to balance external learning with the "at my last company" eyeroll.       A great place to learn and grow as an engineer

      Great co-op / intern program Small teams with complete ownership over your team's part of the product Amazing co-workers to learn from and have as mentors Great culture of learning from mistakes Can work from home multiple times a week

      Cons

      Work life balance can be a little rough at times depending on your role but being able to work from home and unlimited vacation definitely help.

I agree that the life-work fit side of things is a juggle here, but to your point my hope is that the flexibility helps balance that out--with that said, there's always room to improve there.
