Pros

The people (team mates, not leadership) Free food in office

Cons

The most toxic place Iv ever been. Constantly being threatened with a PIP regardless of your performance. Unattainable targets and when you need help management haven’t got a clue how to help. Micromanagement is the worst I have ever experienced it’s excruciating. This role has been career ending I don’t think I’ll ever work in Sass again after this. You are set for failure if you are an external hire and all they want is “activity” nothing meaningful, just numbers on a dashboard. There is no strategy in breaking into the larger accounts. They have taken away benefits like unlimited PTO and are lying to the public about the week of rest (they took it away) but still posting all over LinkedIn that it’s such a privilege to have the week of rest. They are also deleting comments from anyone pointing it out. Please do not come here to work- you will regret it for the rest of your life.

We’ve seen the feedback on our recent post about Week of Rest and appreciate the chance to clarify. This year, we made a shift — instead of a shared, company-wide break, we offered employees more flexibility to take time off when it made the most sense for them and their teams. Many still chose to take that same week to recharge, but our post didn’t reflect that change as clearly as it could have. We know how important time off is — for rest, mental health, and showing up as our best selves. We’re glad so many HubSpotters were able to unplug, and we’re deeply appreciative of those who continued supporting our customers and colleagues during that time. We’ll be more mindful moving forward to make sure what we share publicly reflects the full picture. You can always learn more about our benefits, including Flexible Time Off on our Careers Site: https://www.hubspot.com/careers/benefits Thanks for sharing your feedback and all that you do.

Pros

The pay is nice, the 401k and health benefits are nice

Cons

The engineering culture has been completely gutted by a leadership that just doesn't care about its employees. They've implemented arbitrary "developer metric goals" across the organization regardless of the nature of each team's work, and all of the greatest perks of working here have been stripped away. Tons of ICs, and even managers, have complained about all the problems, but leadership continues to ignore them. All the "squeaky wheels" are either fired or made so miserable that they quit. Everyone is burning out, and nobody in a position to do anything about it cares.
