Pros

1. Laid back work environment 2. salary so-so 3. good for beginners

Cons

1. too old fashioned, dependent on documentation/work that was done 10-20 years ago 2. new ideas are not always encouraged 3. disorganized 4. sub-continent style work culture, you will feel like you work in a government office in india 5. no work from home, no flexibility, you have to maintain the work hours, your work doesn't matter, but if u are just sitting there all day chatting and FBing, that's ok 6. Horrible health benefits, tiny gym 7. Not enough opportunities for learning

Pros

Hughes is a great place to start after graduating from college, but don't stay longer than a few years. Your skills will stagnate. There are opportunities for training if you want it, and you get a chance to work with some really interesting technologies. Work/life balance is pretty awesome, and you are recognized for the work you do. There are some real characters.

Cons

Benefits, low compensation, tribalism, benefits, a lot of reinventing of the wheel, very little cross pollination among teams, very archaic software processes, very archaic software, benefits, IT is pretty awful, and uh...yeah, benefits. There are a lot of managers who have no business leading teams simply because they lack fundamental management (dare I say...people?) skills. You quickly learn who to avoid. There's no real culture to speak of.
