      Good Compnay but dont be surprised to be laid off

      Good Pay and Benefits Career Growth Hours and Flexibility

      Cons

      Within the nine years of working there I have been laid off twice. Once due to job being outsourced and the second due to reduction of membership. Lay offs are happening on a monthly basis.

      If you have a reasonable supervisor, this can be a great job.

      Cons

      I recently resigned from Humana because of what may be the worst boss in America. The job is intended to be a good balance between work and home but this boss tracked every second of the day. Her management style was akin to that of Joseph Stalin. I attempted to work with her on her style but it only angered her and created even greater resentment which in return was met with greater micro management, constant criticism and bullying. Humana can be a great place to work but be sure you are getting a good boss.

      There is a lot of work to do for those (few) willing to do it. Very stable industry

      Cons

      Full of contractors unable to think their way to a fix (most are completely incompetent) A lot of permanent employees who coast through their day by passing all the work to others. No cohesive vision, lack of direct leadership until the ship run aground then its a witch hunt rather than seeking solution No dedication to quality, only getting code out. Culture of COYA, not of a "Thrive Together"
