Pros

Flexible schedule, vacation up to 3 weeks given immediately within 6 months. Benefits ok, could be better. The best of the benefits is time off is decent.

Cons

Too much politics, senior management unaware of the games people play. Fairness towards employees being hired/fired is unethical and abused. Recognition should be based on performance from your immediate managers point of view, and not the other several supervisor/managers that don't even know what you do all year; a.k.a "calibration"(Ridiculous concept). Way too much time is spent on analyzing, discussing, and politcally deciding who gets the allotted raise increases, which is based on how much butt they kissed through the year and not how they performed and what they achieved as an individual.

Pros

Humana is a good corporate citizen, they have kept downtown Louisville alive, and sponser all kinds of events and activities in the area.

Cons

Politics are horrendous. There is a certain personality type that is successful at Humana. If you are willing to stab your own mother in the back on your way up the corporate ladder, Humana may be for you, and you'll have a lot of company. Healthcare benefits are very poor - they push the high deductible health plan, even though for many employees the $6K family deductible is an enormous chunk of their income.

Pros

Humana offers overtime when business is needed. Commision structure is appealing and company pays both hourly and commission with yearly raises.

Cons

No holidays off, schedules change and no job security. The company never tell you what is going on, no one in supervisor roles are professional and educated. Very stressful, Humana will never be on the employees side, the customer no matter in what wrong can have the employee fired. As an employee humana always ask for more and its never good enough. The environment is negative from the moment you walk in the building.
